Professor Kurt Tschopp introduced his collaborators, who spoke about the first experiences with tonsillotomy in the Liestal Department. The history, the pros and cons as well as different techniques (laser, coblation and electrocautery) were presented on videos. The consensus was, that in children with OSAS, but little inflammation, this should be the procedure of choice under 6 years of age.
